We recently traveled the Dismal Swamp on two back-to-back grey days. Some may call a grey day quite dismal. But I was fascinated with reflections in the still waters, which only rippled after we passed. Mile after mile, I saw nothing but Rorschach images. Remember Rorschach inkblots? For a refresher: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rorschach_test
So I had some fun and rotated my images 90 degrees. And then cropped them to simulate Rorschach, or at least my memory of his inkblots. For me, this creative exercise has been quite intriguing. It has conjured up many memories, from elementary school art classes to recent educational sessions about design that I created for a favorite customer.
As you take a peek, remember that I did not alter the photos in any way other than rotating and cropping. And note that I’ve labeled them, just in case anyone wants to add a comment about what they see in the images. I hope you enjoy these inspirations from nature.
